Alright, it is 2020- SERIOUSLY??? It feels like 15 minutes ago we were worried about Y2K!

I love January because it gives us a fresh start. We have the ability to change or transform ourselves.

I started the year with a meditation series with Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey on Desire.

Desire seemed like an odd topic at first but as I get further along with the series, I realize that it makes perfect sense.

We are driven by our desires. Whether it is that delicious cup of coffee in the morning or the promotion at work, desire pushes us forward.

Often we feel guilty about our desires. Are we being selfish when we want that new house or that vacation or even time for ourselves?

Sometimes we are demoralized because we have desires we believe we can’t manifest. I’ll never meet the right person or I’ll never finish that degree.

There is a reason you have that desire and there is a way to attain it. Occasionally the first step needs to be dramatic- quitting a job, moving, starting school. Sometimes it just takes consistent small steps to manifest that desire.

This month we have two programs to give you some small easy steps to reach the most common goals set in January:

Get Fit and Eat Healthier.

On Saturday, January 18th, at noon, we have a fantastic personal trainer who will teach you some simple workouts you can do at home, office or when traveling.

We will include some bands to use for stretching and strengthening.

During the workshop, she will also discuss some nutritional ideas to get you on track for 2020.

This will also be offered on February 2nd at 4:00 P.M. at Sawmill Athletic Club.
