Patients are telling me stories about how much baking they are doing and even bringing us treats.
One person told me that the neighbors take turns making sweet treats and sharing them with each other.
I have heard about the COVID 15 or 19 or 20. #COVID19WeightGain: which of course refers to the pounds lots of people are gaining with the quarantine. According to WebMD, many people are reporting that they have gained weight during the quarantine. And in another article at WebMD, it shows that this is a worldwide issue.
We want to think this is funny. We’re all trying to cope, right? But packing on pounds by eating unhealthy is not really a laughing matter. Adding pounds, and eating sugar and carbs is not easy for our bodies to handle.
We need healthy bodies to fight off COVID19, or any virus!
I completely understand. In April I too was feeling sorry for myself and ate things I normally would never have and the pounds have started to creep up.
Yes, I succumbed to the illusion that food was going to make me feel better.
So what to do about the extra weight?
Many of you know that we have a nutritional cleanse system in our office and 10 years ago I lost 35 pounds and have maintained that for 10 years until COVID19 hit.
Since I really don’t want to buy a new wardrobe, and I know how important my health is, especially now, I decided to do what has worked for me for years.
I am doing a 30 day cleanse with our nutritional system. I am only into day three but I already have more energy and clarity, my sugar cravings have abated and my skin looks clearer.
So let’s pull it together.
Cut out the sugar, eat more veggies, stop buying crap, and get out and move your body. You will cope better with everything when you feel good and your body is working the way it should!
